Douglas Dare today shares his new single 8w9zeros, the latest release following the acclaimed Mouth to Mouth to come from his fourth album Omni, out on May 10.

Like many of Omni’s songs, 8w9zeros has a rich visual quality that is both theatrical yet restrained. It is at its essence an electro banger disguised as a story of eco anxiety, as lovers find comfort in each other despite the burning world around them. "The frankly disturbing realisation that the global population had reached eight billion just over a year ago led me to find solace in the idea of being with just one person”, explains Douglas. “‘8w9zeros’ is a dystopian love song to a dance beat because I needed it.”
