Japanese voice artist Hatis Noit announces her first U.S. headline tour in the spring, plus European winter dates.
Her first full-length album for international release, Aura, was released to much critical acclaim, and her spellbinding performances continue to awe audiences all over the world. Today she announces her next European tour dates and debut performances in the U.S. in the spring, including a performance at Big Ears Festival 2024. Earlier this year, her piece Inori received a rework by the American avant-garde composer William Basinski and Thor a shamanic techno remix by the legendary UK DJ and producer Matthew Herbert.
Most recently, she appeared at Mutek Montréal, where she captivated the audience that jumped out of their chairs. Followed by Mutek México, where she was joined by a group of 12 dancers and acrobats, directed by multimedia artist Orly Anan, in front of a 2000-strong audience that sat on volcanic rock outside an Aztek museum. Reviewed by FILTER Magazine, writing: “One of the most special and memorable moments in MUTEK MX history.”
For San Francisco and Los Angeles, Noit will be joined by peer and latest Erased Tapes signee, Sheherazaad.
