Following the release of Rain Before Seven… this summer, Penguin Cafe return with their first-ever recording of Penguin Cafe Orchestra classic Perpetuum Mobile, performed live with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ahead of their UK tour commencing next month, Penguin Cafe have shared their rendition of Perpetuum Mobile – one of Penguin Cafe Orchestra’s most beloved songs, recorded with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestral version was arranged by the legendary British conductor and musical director Guy Protheroe.

"This is one of my father's most iconic pieces and it was a real joy to take it over to Prague and record with the Prague Philharmonic - doing it with a huge orchestra was something I'd always wanted to do. Today’s release follows their much applauded new full-length Rain Before Seven…, which the band will be touring throughout the UK in November and December, including a date at London's Union Chapel on November 14. Last month Penguin Cafe performed with members of the BBC Philharmonic to a sold out Peel Hall in Manchester as part of Fat Out Fest 2023, which was recorded for BBC Radio 3’s programme Unclassified.
